Black Sun & Night of Vengeful Souls Update

Developer Commentary

The Dark Lands has long been one of Black Desert Mobile's most popular content,
where Adventurers hunt monsters and battle one another across regions consumed by darkness.

With this update, we've made several changes to make it easier to jump in to the Dark Lands.
The number of monster kills required for rewards has been lowered, making progression less time-consuming.
During the final 10 minutes, the locations of the top 3 Adventurers will also be exposed, while monster surge zones appear across the map to create a more intense finish.

Rewards have also been adjusted to better align with the updated structure.
Ranking rewards now grant more Supreme EXP Scrolls and Luminescent Crystal, while rewards from defeating Golden Pig and Afuaru have been changed to Shattered Moonlit Soul Stones.
The amount of Edana Coins obtainable from Laytenn Reward Chest I has also been increased to make the rewards more lucrative.

We've also added the Stirring Dark Lands, a new version of the mode designed for Adventurers who are still learning about this content.
Here, Combat Power is capped at 70,000, giving newer Adventurers a more relaxed environment to get familiar with the flow of hunting and PvP combat.

To help newer Adventurers ease into the experience, AI-controlled Adventurer's Specters have been added. They will also appear in the original Dark Lands to keep combat active throughout the area.
Adventurers can choose between the original Dark Lands and the Stirring Dark Lands based on progression and playstyle.

These updates are designed to make Dark Lands more accessible and enjoyable.
We'll continue to monitor feedback and improve the experience over time.

① Dark energy intensifies in certain regions.
- The affected regions are displayed on the World Map.


- More monsters appear in these regions than usual.
- Defeating monsters in these regions grants additional points.


② The locations of the top 3 Adventurers are displayed on the World Map.
- Adventurers with exposed locations steal an additional 5% of points when defeating other Adventurers.
ㆍAdditional stolen points cannot be earned as assist points.


- Adventurers with exposed locations will see a "Location Exposed" indicator on the right side of the minimap while the Black Sun/Night of Vengeful Souls UI is active.

 

- Changed the spawn location of Apex Changui due to the addition of intensified Dark Lands regions.
- Increased individual and guild ranking rewards.

- Due to the Night of Vengeful Souls update, monster kill/individual/guild rewards earned from the Dark Lands between May 22 (Fri) and May 24 (Sun) were distributed via mail, based on the pre–update reward system.

 

 

- Added Stirring Black Sun and Stirring Night of Vengeful Souls.

| How to Enter
- You can select either "Black Sun/Night of Vengeful Souls" or "Stirring Black Sun/Stirring Night of Vengeful Souls" from the Black Sun/Night of Vengeful Souls entry screen.
ㆍA Bound effect is applied upon entry, and the selected stage cannot be changed during that week.

Example)
- Entering Stirring Black Sun on Saturday at 16:00
ㆍYou may only enter Stirring Black Sun for that week's Black Sun sessions.
ㆍApplies during that week on Sat 16:00–16:40 / 19:20–20:00 / Sun 01:00–01:40

 

- The Bound effect can be checked from the active buff list.


| Rules

- CP in the Stirring Dark Lands is capped at 70,000. (AP: 35,150 / DP: 34,850)
- Entry is available until weekly monster kill rewards have been claimed 10 times.
- Defeating the highest CP monsters in the Stirring Dark Lands grants approximately 34% fewer points than in the original Dark Lands.
- Individual and guild rankings are calculated based on points earned in both the Dark Lands and Stirring Dark Lands.


- Defeating an Adventurer/Adventurer's Specter steals 5%–15% of their points.

Enhancement UI Improvements

 

Developer Commentary

As Black Desert Mobile has continued to grow over the years, various enhancement systems have been added alongside new content.

As those systems expanded, however, the different names
and progression methods made the enhancement experience increasingly difficult for newer Adventurers to follow.

To make progression more intuitive and easier to access, enhancement features previously spread across multiple menus have now been consolidated into a single "Enhancement" menu.
With this update, enhancing gear should feel much more convenient, with less time spent navigating between menus.

We've also simplified several progression systems that had become unnecessarily time-consuming over time.
Alchemy Stones are one such example. Amplification was originally an important part of the Alchemy Stone growth process, with many Adventurers now far beyond that stage of progression,
the Amplification step has been removed to help newer Adventurers progress more quickly and smoothly.

Relic Branch Enhancement has also been changed into Enchantment, making the system more streamlined and convenient to use.

We'll continue improving progression systems and usability in future updates.


| Black Spirit's Influence
- Updated the Black Spirit's Influence UI following the enhancement UI consolidation.

| Alchemy Stone
- Removed Alchemy Stone Amplification.

Currently Amplified Alchemy Stones will be retrieved and redistributed as +0 Alchemy Stones with stats equivalent to +30 Amplification.


| Relic
- Converted Relic Branch Enhancement into Enchantment.
ㆍRelic Enchantment can now be accessed through [Black Spirit] → [Enchantment].



- Enchantment provides the same effects as the previous Branch Enhancement system.
ㆍStats previously applied to Relics before the May 26 (Tue) maintenance will remain unchanged.

New Content and Improvements

Developer Commentary

Constellation and Boss Rush are key progression modes for character growth.


Previously, reaching the maximum level for a boss required manually selecting the next boss and re-entering the content each time. For newer Adventurers progressing quickly through the early stages, these repeated manual steps could interrupt gameplay flow.

To improve this experience, Constellation and Boss Rush will now automatically proceed to the next boss once the maximum level has been reached.

We hope this change makes early progression feel smoother and more convenient.

Auto Boss Rush/Auto Explore


ㆍAdded the "Sequential Conquest" option.
ㆍWhen Sequential Conquest is selected, progression continues at the minimum multiplier until reaching the highest difficulty or recommended CP.
ㆍBosses already cleared at the highest difficulty will be skipped.
ㆍIf Sequential Conquest is not selected, all Bosses will proceed using the maximum multiplier.
ㆍRemoved the previous "Min Multiplier" option.

- Added gear eligible for enhancement to the CP Growth Helper when the required materials are available.

Error Fixes

- [Lupa] Fixed an issue where key mapping for the Skip dialogue function would not work after dismounting Heuklang following NPC interactions while mounted.
- [Letanas] Fixed an issue where one wing would not appear while using Dragon Flight.

- Fixed an issue where fishing was unavailable in certain areas of Keplan.
- Fixed an issue where jumping with keybinds would not work after using the Skip dialogue function in towns.
- Fixed an issue where the game would disconnect when canceling Auto-Buy in the Lucky Shop in the Pearl Shop while the Lucky Gift gauge was full.
- Fixed an issue where Chaos Runes could be extracted at [Camp] → [Extractor] to create +0 Chaos Runes.
ㆍChaos Runes can no longer be extracted to address this issue.




- Changed the "Auto Boss Rush/Family Dispatch/Boss Damage Info" buttons in the Alyaelli's Rift entry screen to be center–aligned.
- Fixed an issue where the message "This item cannot be sold." would appear even when no unsellable items were present in the inventory.
- Fixed an issue where enhanced/awakened equipment and accessories were displayed in CP Growth Helper.
- Fixed an issue where Rabam's Trials ranking screen displayed abnormally.

We experienced server instability on May 24 (Sun),
which caused issues with certain Node Wars and Twisted Nightmare content.
The following actions have been taken for affected Adventurers and Guilds.


1) Adventurers who participated in Twisted Nightmare: Capital on May 24 (Sun)
- Adventurers who entered any difficulty of Twisted Nightmare: Capital have been sent 1 Nightmare Sentry Chest via in-game mail.


2) Guilds that won the bid for the Naga Swamplands and Dernyl Farm Node War on May 24 (Sun)
- Refunded the bid funds and declare points used for the Node War bids.
- Sent materials used for Holy Artifact enhancement via in-game mail.
- Removed penalties applied for insufficient Node War participation.

Upcoming Updates

Developer Commentary

Transcendent Classes combine Ascension and Awakening into a single form,
preserving each class's distinct combat identity and playstyle while introducing greater flexibility through Skill Imprint.
With Skill Imprint, Adventurers can apply selected effects to their skills
and further customize how they approach combat.

As announced during the Calpheon Ball, the update was originally planned for May.
However, development is taking longer than expected
as we are preparing both the simultaneous release of all Classes and a full effect remaster together.

A total of 18 Classes have currently been updated on the test server.
Following the rollout of Skill Imprint and the remaining 12 Classes on the test server,
the official update is now scheduled for June.

Classes are central to the Black Desert Mobile experience,
so we're taking more time to refine the Transcendent Classes update before release.

We appreciate your patience as we continue development,
and we’ll keep reviewing feedback from the test server
as we prepare the update for release.

- A higher grade for Harmony Stones and Alchemy Stones will be added during the update maintenance on Jun 2 (Tue).
ㆍThe new items can be crafted using Voidsent Eye, Chaos Jewel, and Ah'krad as materials.

As the ways to enhance Alchemy Stones have expanded alongside the growing variety of content,
we will be revamping the system to provide a more intuitive experience.


Following the removal of the Alchemy Stone Amplification system on May 26,
the Jun 2 (Tue) update will integrate Alchemy Stone types and simplify their acquisition methods.

- Abyssal Alchemy Stones are scheduled to be unified and revamped during the update maintenance on Jun 2 (Tue).
ㆍFaded Unified/Savage/Brave/Ultimate/Enhanced Stones will be consolidated into a single shared material, Faded Alchemy Stone.
ㆍWhen enhancing Primal-grade or higher Alchemy Stones, you will be able to use either the unified Faded Alchemy Stones or Caphras Crystals with equivalent value as material.
ㆍAbyssal Alchemy Stones other than Faded Alchemy Stone, Lucky Stone, and Stone of Abundance will no longer be obtainable or craftable, and will be removed from the game.
- The "Craft" and "Synthesis" features in the Alchemy Lab will be removed.

As part of the revamp, all owned Abyssal-grade Alchemy Stones and related chest items will be removed during maintenance,
converted based on the criteria below, and redistributed accordingly.

And all Adventurers will also receive 1,000,000 Alchemy Stone Fragments to help them adapt to the updated system.

① Owned +0 Abyssal Alchemy Stones and Alchemy Stone Chests
Will be retrieved and redistributed as 5,250 Alchemy Stone Fragments per item.


② Owned +1 or higher Abyssal Alchemy Stone and Alchemy Stone Chests
Will be retrieved and redistributed as +0 Primal Alchemy Stones.


③ Retroactive Adjustment for Crafted Abyssal-grade Alchemy Stone Chests
- Period: From Dec 13, 2025 (Calpheon Ball) – until the update maintenance on Jun 2, 2026
- Distribution Details: Items will be distributed as following based on the number of Abyssal-grade Alchemy Stone Chests crafted through crafting recipes during the period.
ㆍEnhanced Alchemy Stone Chest x1 crafted: 114,750 Alchemy Stone Fragments
ㆍAny Alchemy Stone Chest other than the Enhanced Alchemy Stone Chest x1 crafted: 54,750 Alchemy Stone Fragments


ㆍThe "Camp III" quest in the Remastered Season will be changed to reward a Primal Alchemy Stone.

Developer Commentary

With the June 2 (Tue) maintenance update, higher-grade versions of the Harmony Stone and Alchemy Stones will be added.
As these items require Voidsent Eyes as crafting materials, we'll also be adding more ways to obtain them.

First, Mercenary Board requests in the Mountain of Eternal Winter will also reward Voidsent Eyes
alongside the existing Citron Tea reward.

In addition, more Voidsent Eyes will be obtainable from monsters in the Mountain of Eternal Winter
and from the Cursed Pirate Island.

These changes will go live with the June 2 (Tue) update.


| June 2 (Tue) Update Maintenance
- The 10,000 Silver reward from Mercenary Board requests in the Mountain of Eternal Winter will be replaced with 3 Voidsent Eyes.


- The weekly exchange limit for Voidsent Eyes obtained by exchanging Fried Crystal Smelts with Baturnil in the Mountain of Eternal Winter will be changed to 2.

ㆍFried Crystal Smelt can still be exchanged through Baturnil before the update maintenance.


- The amount of Voidsent Eyes obtainable from defeating monsters in the Mountain of Eternal Winter will be increased.
ㆍHowever, regions that drop EXP Scrolls will remain unchanged.
ㆍAs a result, all Citron Tea, Purified Water/Citron Tea/Clockwork Selection Chests, and any unclaimed Citron Tea will be removed.

- Purchases of Citron Tea (Pearls/Double Pearls) and the Monthly Content Pass Support Chest from the Pearl Shop will be temporarily restricted from June 1 (Mon) 00:00 until the update maintenance.
ㆍAll remaining exploration time for the Mountain of Eternal Winter will be reset, and 1 hour of entry time will be provided after the update maintenance.
ㆍAccess to the Mercenary Board will be temporarily unavailable from June 1 (Mon) 00:00 until the update maintenance.

- The Cursed Pirate Island will be revamped, and the boss Madman John will be removed.
ㆍItems previously obtainable from defeating Madman John will instead be obtainable from normal monsters on the Pirate Island at a low drop rate, based on the previous maximum reward.
ㆍThe chance of obtaining Voidsent Eyes from the Voidsent Treasure Chest will be increased.
ㆍVoidsent Treasure Chests obtained before the revamp will still grant the existing rewards when used.
ㆍAs a result, all owned Cursed Pirate Island Passes will be removed.
ㆍAll remaining exploration time for the Cursed Pirate Island will be reset, and 1 hour of entry time will be provided after the update maintenance.
ㆍThe following weekly missions will be temporarily unavailable from June 1 (Mon) 00:00 until the update maintenance.

Weekly Missions

- The quantity of Sealed Charm of Succession, one of the Call-Up mission rewards in the Land of the Sherekhan, will increase to 3.
ㆍCall-Up Missions will be temporarily unavailable from Jun 1 (Mon), 00:00 until update maintenance.

- Path of Glory Season 10 will be revamped during the update maintenance on Jun 2 (Tue) as follows:
ㆍAs the Path of Glory revamp is scheduled for June 2 (Tue), the free entry count for Path of Glory will be distributed after the maintenance.
- As seasons will be removed, season-related names will also be changed.
Example) Path of Glory S10 Entry Pass → Path of Glory Entry Pass
- The existing 25 Rift levels of Path of Glory will be consolidated into 8 levels, and Rift 9 and 10 will be added.
- Tus' Nest will be removed.
ㆍRewards previously obtainable from Tus' Nest will be added to the revamped Path of Glory rewards.


- Accordingly, the following changes will be applied to items and content during the update on Jun 2 (Tue).

- Period: From Dec 13, 2025 (Calpheon Ball) – until the update maintenance on Jun 2, 2026
- Reward Details: Rift 25, Wave 5 rewards will be distributed based on the number of Path of Glory completions during the period.
※ Any unused Path of Glory Entry Passes remaining before maintenance will be converted into Rift 25, Wave 5 rewards and distributed accordingly.
※ We recommend using all available passes before the update maintenance on Jun 2.

② [Season 10] Tus' Nest Map Piece
- Will be converted into items that can be used to obtain Tus' Nest rewards.


③ Daily Tasks, Achievements, and Adventurer Progression Log
- Objectives will be adjusted to match the revamped Path of Glory Rifts.


④ Titles
- The following titles obtainable from Path of Glory completion rewards will no longer be obtainable after the revamp:
ㆍConqueror of Rift 1–14
- The requirements for obtaining the title "Venerable Family" will be adjusted to match the revamped Path of Glory Rifts.



- During the update maintenance on Jun 2 (Tue), the drop rate for Nebular-grade Kharazad Accessories obtainable from Dark Fissure will be increased.
ㆍAs a result, Remnants of Corruption used to enter Spoils of Dark Fissure that are owned or obtainable before the June 2 (Tue) maintenance will be removed during the update maintenance.

- Nightmare: Jade Starlight Forest is scheduled to close, and the Rift leading to Nightmare: Tshira is scheduled to open during the update maintenance on Jun 2 (Tue).
ㆍExploration time and Brand of the Nightmare will not reset.

- Encarotia's Boutique in the Pearl Shop is scheduled to end on June 1 (Mon) at 22:30.
ㆍCertain items will be removed with the end of the Boutique.

ㆍItems not included in the above list, such as Crimson Flame (Male/Female) and [Male/Female] Crimson Flame Ornament Chest, will remain available and can still be registered on the Market after June 2 (Tue).
- After June 2 (Tue), 1 Crimson Flame can still be exchanged for a Restoration Scroll x200,000 Bundle via [Craft] → [Gear] → [Outfit] → [Exchange Restoration Scroll].
- After June 2 (Tue), 1 Crimson Flame Ornament can still be exchanged for a Holy Vial of Light x1,500 Bundle via [Craft] → [Gear] → [Outfit] → [Exchange Holy Vial].
